If you get one, post back and I'll post all the individual function codes for every command. The model numbers must match my post exactly.Īll have the ability to send all of the 183 possible commands, many more than the original remote. The 15-134, 133, 135 and 100 are on clearance for $1 if you can still find them. You could also try your luck at radio shack. The URC-8820N or 10820N from sears will also work, as will many cable remotes.

I have only tested with headphones and inputting a device through a couple of the audio inputs and sound came through fine but I'm just not sure about that light. I can go Ebay for a real Denon or locally for a universal, but if I go universal, I just need to know the decent ones for the price - I would of course like to spend as little as possible. I would like to use another Denon, but if there are very inexpensive options as far as universal remotes that I can easily purchase locally, I'm all for that, too. Can anyone give me a list of other Denon remotes that will control setup and at least all the basic functions of the 3802? It originally came with the RC-884 remote I believe. I recently bought a used Denon AVR-3802 with no remote control.

Or ask here once you have some remotes in mind. For any model, to check if it will control your Denon, go to, go to Find your setup code, enter the candidate model number and see if OFA proposes 1360 for Denon. He said he was happy to sell me either but had a lot of problems with the earlier model. When they changed to the AVR 3806 they revamped the remote to make it more reliable. The Denon stockist said the AVR 3805 was Denons first real LED remote and had quite a few bugs.
